This past weekend, the slopes of Gaiziņkalns echoed with adrenaline as 135 riders from across the Baltics and more and beyond competed in the 1st round of the 2025 Baltic Downhill Cup during the BTA G-Bike Festival. With sunny conditions outside but muddy Gaizinkalns tracks, it was a thrilling showcase of control, skill, and pure mountain biking madnes & many crashes for spectators.

🏆 Top Category Highlights

🇱🇻 Men Elite

🥇 Patriks Pauls Rullis (LAT) dominated both runs, finishing with a combined time of 1:51.16
🥈 Henrijs Vimba (LAT) followed closely at 1:58.33
🥉 Karolis Krukauskas (LTU) rounded out the podium with 2:00.47

👶 Juniors

🥇 Mikus Liepkalns (LAT) took a commanding win with 1:47.36, the fastest time overall across junior categories!
🥈 Jānis Šlosbergs (LAT) showed consistency, finishing in 1:55.29
🥉 Joonas Vaikmäe (EST) claimed third with 1:59.59

🧓 Masters

🥇 Juris Luščenoks (LAT) led the class with a sharp 1:54.87
🥈 Krišjānis Lejnieks (LAT) followed at 1:56.86
🥉 Renārs Štromanis (LAT) clocked in at 2:00.90

🥇 Lota Palu (EST) showed dominance in Run 1 and secured the top spot at 2:42.53
